Continuing a tradition started over a decade ago by the World Federation of Soft Computing, the WSC 2008 Conference aims at bringing together outstanding research and development in the field of soft computing and its applications from across the world. The field of topics comprises APPLIED SOFT COMPUTING, SOFT COMPUTING TECHNOLOGIES and SOFT COMPUTING APPROACHES.
During the Conference interactive discussions are being hosted between the authors and the participants over the internet, tutorials, a virtual exhibition and sessions with special topics will allow you discussing and networking with scientists from across the world. The WSC2008 grants
you knowledge easy to access from your PC.

The registration to the conference is open to all (faculty, researchers, and students, as well as industrial and commercial parties) and is completely free of charge.

Conference Topics

The topics include applications of evolutionary computation, neural networks and fuzzy logic, their hybridisation and variation as well as techniques ranging from meta-heuristics and swarm intelligence to quantum computing. Prospective authors are invited to submit original papers (not being considered for presentation or publication elsewhere) describing theoretical or applied research. Papers addressing real-world applications in industry and business are especially welcome.

Paper Submission

Full Papers should be submitted in PDF format and formatted according to the Author Guidelines. Each paper should not exceed 10 pages in length.

The submission should include:
(i) the contact details of the correspondence author
(Name, Address, Phone, Fax, email address, and homepage), and
(ii) up to five keywords. Only electronic submissions in
PDF or PS format are accepted.

Files can be uploaded to the conference server. All submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least two members of the International Program Committee.

Papers will be published on-line with the dual benefits of rapid dissemination and reduced costs. As with the previous conferences, papers accepted for publication at WSC2008 will be published as an edited volume (with ISBN, DOI) after the conference. Furthermore, significantly revised and extended versions of selected papers from the conference will be invited for a "fast track" submission to the Elsevier Science Journal of Applied Soft Computing.
